Invitation to the 25th Reunion of the Class of 1979
Can you believe it’s time for our 25th Class Reunion? We can’t be that old, can we? We have been planning for this Reunion with one goal in mind: we want everyone to attend! We have made every effort to make the weekend fun, casual and affordable and with many opportunities to catch up with old friends!
Friday evening we have reserved Lucky’s on Main Street from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The evening will include hors d’oeuvres and drink specials. A cash bar will be available. At 9 p.m., Lucky’s will open to the public and the City of Cortland will be hosting its first of the season “Main Street Concert Series”. It’s an outdoor concert in the parking lot next to the Old Montgomery Ward building across from Lucky’s. Great music and lots of fun! Classmates can stay at Lucky’s, enjoy the concert, wander down Main Street, whatever you choose. It will be a great time to reminisce and get reacquainted.
Saturday morning there will be a tour of the high school at 10 a.m. Walk through the halls and remember the fun, the pranks, and especially the friendships.
Saturday afternoon will be a family picnic at the Main Pavilion at Little York. Come alone; bring your family! There will be plenty of food and hopefully sunshine to enjoy the afternoon. A class photograph will be taken at this event!
Saturday evening we will enjoy a casual dinner at Uncle Louie’s Backyard on Tompkins Street (formerly Rocky’s). We have the entire dining room to ourselves. Once dinner is over, we can hang out at the bar or move on to other former stomping grounds in Cortland.
Over 100 classmates attended our 20th reunion in 1999! Seeing old friends again was a wonderful experience. We hope to see all of you at the 25th, and for those of you who couldn’t make it last time, come and experience the heartwarming sense of reconnecting with old friends.
The enclosed card contains more information about all the events for this great reunion weekend. The deadline for reservations is June 15th, but DON’T WAIT! SEND IT IN TODAY! See you in July!
